Following the integration and rebranding of the Polytechnic Institute to the NYU Polytechnic School of Engineering in early 2014, the university received a $100 million gift last year from the Tandon family which paved the way for the school’s second rebranding to the Tandon School of Engineering. Via Collective collaborated with NYU on the initial integration rebranding and we are pleased to be working with the university again to rebrand the unique Brooklyn campus. During the integration of the Polytechnic Institute, we conducted user research, developed recommendations, and implemented wayfinding tools, maps, and guidelines to improve user experience and brand recognition in the downtown campus. For this project, we will be rebranding the campus map, exterior signage, door graphics, and flags to reflect the Tandon name, as well as updating the signage guidelines.
