Today I joined the AIA|DC’s Committee on Accessible Design for their panel “Trending Strategies for Human Centered Design”, alongside Hansel Bauman- Gallaudet University Architect, Executive Director of Campus Design and Planning, and co-founder of the DeafSpace Institute- and AJ Paron-Wildes- National Architecture and Design Manager, Allsteel and author of Interior Design for Autism.
We discussed enhanced usability and accessibility trends in human centered design and how wayfinding can create inclusive environments that benefit people of all abilities and needs. The panel discussion and resources are available as an AIA course.
