Via Collective is pleased to announce a new project with New York City’s Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) to develop a wayfinding recommendations and ADA signage policy white paper.
DCAS manages 52 buildings across the city, including 26 Courthouses and 26 City-owned office buildings, without a standard signage guidelines document. The creation of a wayfinding strategy includes best practices and ADA policy white paper will provide an approach for recommendations vs requirements, and will serve as the basis for what could become a full guidelines package. The white paper will be divided by policy vs best practice to allow ADA guidelines to be addressed and the diversity of signage requirements including user experiences, architectural styles, and architectural conditions to be integrated.
