Yesterday, President Biden released the administration’s Americans Job Act + Infrastructure Plan which outlined “an investment in America that will create millions of good jobs, (and) rebuild our country’s infrastructure.” Via Collective’s extensive work in public transit infrastructure has us taking note and we’re impressed with the progressive way of looking at infrastructure as not only the physical structures, but also the fabric that connects us as a country, including prioritizing racial justice, addressing climate change, and improving our ability to connect communities.
The plan is not without controversy; from taxes that will pay for it to the allocation across the variety of infrastructure. We’ve broken it down in this infographic and will be continuing to follow it as it moves through Congress.
