I’m thrilled to announce I’ve rejoined the AIANY Transportation and Infrastructure Committee as the Director of Communication. This comes at a time when the national conversation on infrastructure resilience has been invigorated by the multi-trillion dollar investment plan recently approved by Congress. Urban transit faces a new era of changes, as city-dwellers look to micromobility to avoid crowded public systems, while shipping and aviation infrastructure grapples with unprecedented levels of global exchange.
Having served in this capacity from 2016 to 2018 before taking a leave to complete a specialized MBA at NYU Stern, I looks forward to developing a deeper level of engagement with its 1000+ members and provide more outreach to publicize events, its annual awards, and advocacy opportunities.
The committee is focused on planning, architectural design, technical, and policy issues related to transportation and infrastructure, including systems and civic facilities to accommodate marine, aviation, and land-based transit, as well as energy, water, and waste distribution networks. It is the mission of the committee to examine and advocate for the architecture and design quality in transportation and infrastructure projects.
