Exterior Guidelines

Working with the University Relations and Public Affairs departments, we developed a comprehensive and thorough guideline document for exterior signage based on the strength of the NYU brand identity and simplicity of graphic features. With the established kit of parts, the program allows for a range of sign types that address the needs of the visitor; from their initial approach to the campus to finding their final destination through use of maps.

When the NYU Tandon School of Engineering was endowed, a complete rebranding provided the opportunity to utilize every aspect of the exterior guideline’s system. Throughout the rebranding process, we were able to test the program and refine the guidelines.
