Key Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in design
  • 7-10 years of experience
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects and teams simultaneously while staying on schedule and on budget, and ensuring efficient alignment of team resources.
  • Strong comprehension of architectural drawings and organizing principles of architectural drawing sets
  • Comprehension of wayfinding strategies and the ability to interpret messaging and direction through signage design and location
  • Well-informed of all municipal and building code requirements for projects
  • Passion for great design with the ability to be stylistically flexible
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Ability to work with a team through transparent, respectful, and immediate communication efforts ensuring frequent workflow updates and file overlap.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of signage fabrication means, methods, and tolerances
  • Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and user experience design.
  • High-level of proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat), and Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to design three-dimensionally and articulate design-intent

You will play a vital role in crafting detailed wayfinding solutions that integrate seamlessly into various environments, contributing to the firm’s ongoing success.

  • Design Fluency: Build on your foundational understanding of design, drawing production, and code fundamentals to produce precise and innovative wayfinding solutions. You will work on a variety of projects, including transportation, healthcare, education, and public spaces, ensuring designs are functional and aesthetically refined.
  • Project Ownership: Take responsibility for the full lifecycle of design projects, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables align with client expectations. Your strong attention to detail will ensure the accuracy and quality of all design elements, from schematic development to construction documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3-6 years of experience in wayfinding or environmental graphic design.
  • Education: A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Design Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and familiarity with CAD tools. Knowledge of Sign Agent Pro is a plus.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of architectural drawings, spatial design, and fabrication methods.

Signage Drafter

As a Signage Drafter, you will organize, develop, and manage the documentation of signage drawing packages that communicate the design intent established by the design team. You will play a vital role in managing detailed drawing packages that inform the implementation of wayfinding solutions across various environments, contributing to the firm’s ongoing success.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Fluency: Build on your foundational understanding of design, drawing production, and code fundamentals to produce precise documentation packages. You will work on a variety of projects, including transportation, education, and public spaces, ensuring designs are functional and aesthetically refined.
  • Project Ownership: Take responsibility for design documentation and delivery that align with client expectations and follow Via Collective drawing standards. Your strong attention to detail will ensure the accuracy and quality of all design elements, from design development to construction documentation, and that deadlines are met.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with studio and/or design directors, project managers, and other team members to develop and execute design documentation that reflects innovative wayfinding solutions. Qualifications

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience within a wayfinding, signage, design, and/or architectural drafting environment.
  • Education: A 4-year bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Design Skills: Strong understanding of drawing set documentation, structure, and processes. Ability to articulate three-dimensional form and fabrication methods through two-dimensional drawing. Precise typographic detailing and dimensioning. Proficiency in reading and coordinating architectural drawings.
  • Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), CAD tools, and Sign Agent Pro. Familiarity with BIM software, Revit, Autodesk, and three-dimensional modeling software like Rhino and/or SketchUp is a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: A self-motivated, resourceful attitude with a commitment to learning and growing in the field.

Salary Range: $55–85K based on years of experience

Project Manager

To be successful in this role, you have 5-10 years of experience managing large-scale wayfinding projects. A background with a wayfinding design, architecture, or engineering firm is required.

A demonstrated track record of leading and executing profitable projects while building talent capacity is needed, along with high standards of organization, strong customer service skills, a positive and solutions-focused attitude, and a drive for success. A successful project manager will demonstrate critical thinking skills, enjoy contributing to team collaboration and building client relationships, and take pride and full ownership in delivering high-quality work.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple large-scale infrastructure projects, deadlines, and clients simultaneously
  • Establish and implement project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards in line with company policies
  • Perform with a high level of attention to detail with a proven commitment to high-quality design and execution
  • Management of the entire project lifecycle from definition/scope through implementation
  • Act as a technical resource for the project team and lead design review meetings
  • Lead client communication and coordination, including issuing agendas, notes, and schedules
  • Coordinate and prioritize project needs, resources, and information internally and with the client project teams to move the project forward
  • Identify required and optional changes in project scope and negotiate changes with clients as warranted or best practices suggest
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle, including coordinating with clients, vendors, and other project partners
  • Work with the Principal, Project Director, and Marketing Coordinator, contributing to the technical direction of new business proposals, including project scope, budget, and timeline
  • Work with the Principal and Project Director on invoicing.
