At this year’s SEGD conference in Boston, Katie led a session entitled Connecting People to Place: Transforming Public Space Through Wayfinding Strategy & User Research. During the presentation, Katie shared how user research and community engagement helped create wayfinding strategies for two very different outdoor spaces that were connected through a public infrastructure project twenty years in the making. The talk highlights the work Via Collective has done with Randall’s Island Park Alliance and the Haven Project.
