We’re thrilled to announce that Via Collective has been awarded Bronze at the 2025 Transform Awards North America for our work on the NYU Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center. The awards ceremony, held on Wednesday, October 8, at the Edison Ballroom in New York City, celebrated excellence in branding, design, and creative transformation. This recognition highlights our commitment to thoughtful design solutions that enhance both identity and user experience, underscoring the value of strong client partnerships.
Reflecting on the collaborative process and thoughtful design decisions, Katie Osborn sat down with Jack Cousins of Transform for a brief interview to share insights into the NYU project, discussing the creative process, teamwork, and overall impact. They explored the challenges of designing wayfinding for the 45,000-square-foot film-inspired space, how principles such as light and focus informed the design, and the ways the project enhances daily life for students and faculty.

The project exemplifies Via Collective’s approach, where strategy, storytelling, and design come together to create meaningful, memorable experiences. It also underscores our longstanding partnership with NYU, where we’ve collaborated on multiple initiatives including the Grey Art Museum, Tandon School of Engineering, Tandon Administration Offices, C2SMART, and Palladium.. When asked about NYU’s relationship with Via Collective, Sang-Jin Bae, Arts Professor and Director at the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center, NYU Tisch School of the Arts, said:
“Via Collective’s work with NYU Tisch demonstrates a nuanced understanding of how design can connect campus environments while preserving their individual character. VIA Collective’s approach to traversing from NYU’s main campus in Greenwich Village to Industry City in Brooklyn feels both intuitive and natural, giving the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center a unique identity that remains seamlessly integrated within the broader NYU ecosystem.”
Working on multiple projects with the same organization allows our team to gain deep insight into its culture and goals, anticipate challenges, and deliver solutions that are both thoughtful and impactful. Through our ongoing partnership with NYU, Via Collective has built strong relationships with colleagues whose feedback has strengthened every project.
These long-term collaborations foster open communication, encourage creative risk-taking, and ensure each project evolves alongside the communities it serves. As demonstrated by the Bronze Transform Award, projects like the NYU Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center showcase the trust developed with clients and the firm’s ability to create environments that are functional, inspiring, and engaging. Recognized among North America’s most innovative design practices, Via Collective continues to push the boundaries of design, crafting spaces that meet practical needs while delighting every community they touch.
