The Professional Women in Construction (PWC) New York Salute to Women of Achievement 2025 Annual Gala was a truly inspiring and joyful celebration of women shaping the future of the AEC industry. Via Collective is proud to have been involved in a key project recognized at the event. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Salute Project Award 2025 to the NYPD 116th Precinct. Via Collective contributed to this award-winning project by designing the interior and exterior wayfinding and signage, including identification at key entrances, NYPD-only parking, and interior wayfinding such as room identification, regulatory, and ADA-required signage.

Representatives from Dattner Architects described how the precinct was thoughtfully designed as a community-centered space, with its main entrance facing a public plaza and integrated into a larger neighborhood hub. They acknowledged the many agencies and firms that collaborated on the project with Dattner, including several WBE (Women-Owned Business Enterprise) firms—Via Collective, JFK&M Engineers, and Starr Whitehouse Landscape Architects—alongside Langan Environmental, Jacobs, and Citnalta. This collaboration underscores the power of diverse expertise in delivering community-focused public architecture.

The Gala, held in the Elise Penthouse, was a night of connection and celebration. It featured the honoring of three outstanding women leaders: Yvi McEvilly, Kim Vierheilig, and Sevinc Yuksel. Each shared powerful insights on navigating the traditionally male-dominated AEC field, highlighting the importance of mentorship and paving the way for the next generation.
Scholarships awarded to three emerging women pursuing education in AEC shone a spotlight on the future of the industry. Each recipient’s story highlighted personal ambition and the collective importance of supporting women leaders at every stage of their careers. Guests were invited to contribute to the scholarship program, reinforcing the community’s commitment to lifting up the next generation.
